Creating a unique tracking ID for an Amazon link is easy. Simply log in to your Amazon affiliate dashboard, click “Account Settings” at the very top on the right, then click “Manage Tracking IDs”. The link building was a critical step.  It was time consuming.  I followed the standard plan you see in several other blogs (like Niche Pursuits) with tiered linking structures. In general, you could categorize the links as social profiles, web 2.0 free blogs, and article directories.  I also purchased a few fiverr gigs to point to the first tier of links, not the niche site (the money site).
There are many ways to do affiliate marketing. One way was the kind you learned, posting links and paying for ads. That can get super expensive if your links aren’t converting well! That’s why I recommend that you do “blogging”, e.g. writing articles as you mentioned. If you optimize your content based on search engine requirements (also known as SEO), you’ll rank on page 1 of Google. When someone searches a topic, your article turns up. I tried affiliate marketing years ago. Back then I was just randomly posting ads online hoping to get sales. After about 4 months I had one sale and commission was $100. Well, I gave up on it. Specifically, do I use some free service like Wix or should I use GoDaddy, and sign up for a domain name and build a website? You can do split testing and measure each campaign’s performance before taking the appropriate action. Changing a couple things would raise your profit. Banner ads should be placed on different areas on the pages of your site because there are some strategic points that will catch your reader’s attention.
If you expect this extension to replace your trusty tablepress plugin – you are in no luck, unless you want to only rely on the parameters that Amazon gives you for your comparison table such as “quantity”, “brand”, “price”… Ratings are missing. There doesn’t seem to be a way to create your own column, everything is set in stone. If you pull “features”, you might be in danger of duplicate content.
The larger the company, the more requirements and prerequisites they likely have in place. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Even though you may need a newer computer, they may be offer health insurance and a full-time schedule. There’s always a trade-off. Amazon will have you work on micro-projects that require some sort of human interaction. Tasks can include translating a paragraph into English (or another language), rating the search results for certain keywords, or reworking an article. Finding products seems to work well. However, I can’t see a way to just “store” my found products so I’m able to come back later to add or remove them from my personal selection. Thanks for the write-up on EasyAnon. I was debating whether or not to give it a try. I’ve been using Amazon Product In A Post (free plugin) since November. It is ok, but sometimes some of the links don’t show up, plus I would like the ability to customize the photos/links a bit more. If you would like to take a more subtle approach, include a product or service from your company that relates into your blog post. For example, let’s say that you are a wine connoisseur and that is what your blog is based around. In any post that is enticing your readers to open up a good bottle of Merlot or what have you, it would be wise to embed an ad for a quality, easy-to-use wine opener, wine glasses or stoppers that keep the wine fresh.
